Who we are

This website is run by Joseph Ennis, a sole trader trading as Little Joe's Tree Services ("we", "us"). Joseph Ennis is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of quoting for and carrying out work.

Contact: info@littlejoestreeservices.co.uk, telephone 07519 744 790. If you need a postal address for a privacy request, contact us and we will provide one.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us through the contact form, phone, email or WhatsApp: your name, phone number, email address, the address or postcode of the job, a description of the work, and any photos you upload.
  • Job and payment records if you become a customer: quotes, invoices and payment details.
  • Website usage data, only if you accept cookies: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example from a Google advert), approximate location, device and browser, and actions such as tapping our phone number or sending the form.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, visit, quote and do the work: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and performance of the contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep invoices and accounts: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
  • To follow up a quote you asked for, and to keep a backup copy of enquiries so none are lost: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Website analytics and advertising measurement: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). You can withdraw consent at any time.

We do not send marketing emails or texts unless you have asked us to, and we never sell your information.

Who helps us (processors)

  • Hostinger: website hosting and our email.
  • Web3Forms: delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
  • Cloudinary: stores photos you upload with the form.
  • Supabase: keeps a secure backup copy of form enquiries so none are lost, managed for us by our web developer acting on our instructions.
  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Ads, only if you accept cookies. Clicking our Google review or map links takes you to Google under its own privacy policy.
  • YouTube: videos load only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Contact us for details of the safeguards used by a particular provider.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up you ask for. Customer job and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (HMRC generally expects at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year). Analytics data is kept in line with Google Analytics retention settings. Contact us if you would like details or want your information deleted sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it to be transferred, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@littlejoestreeservices.co.uk. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We only use non-essential cookies if you click "Accept all" on our cookie banner. Until then, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not load.
